LINEAGE
TEXAS SINGLE MALT WHISKY
As a pioneer in the American Single Malt category, Lineage celebrates the balance of Texas provenance and old world tradition. It features Texas-grown and malted barley aged in refill oak alongside Scottish Golden Promise malted barley. We've infused what we've learned from the centuries old single malt traditions that have long been an inspiration to us. Together, these elements are refined through maturation under the intense climate of Texas.

Caramelized sweetness, soft oak, manuka honey, chestnuts and hint of red wine reduction

What makes American Single Malt different from Scotch whisky?
Only whiskies made in Scotland can be called Scotch. A not well known fact is that “Scotch” is the umbrella term for ANY whisky made in Scotland, single grain whisky (corn, wheat, etc), single malt (100% malted barley), or a blend of the two (blended Scotch). American Single Malt Whisky and other world Single Malts began by following in the footsteps of traditional single malts from Scotland and Ireland. In America we make American Single Malt which may include various riffs on traditional methods as well as extensive innovation beyond tradition. For us, the Texas climate, Texas microflora, and Texas barley play a major role in how our Single Malts mature and taste.
How should I drink Single Malt Whisky?
We recommend serving it at room temperature. A Glencairn is great for opening up the whisky and concentrating the aroma. Adding water or ice is up to you, but try it neat first. And if you live somewhere incredibly hot like us, or you just like to mix things up, try a couple ounces of our single malt in a Collins glass over ice, topped with sparkling mineral water, and add the zest of a lemon peel! Cheers.
